1. (Engineering / Aeronautics) Brit a building in a city from which air passengers are taken by road or rail to an airport or the terminal building of an airport
2. (Engineering / Aeronautics) a building at an airport from which air passengers depart or at which they arrive
A facility on an airfield that functions as an air transportation hub and accommodates the loading and unloading of airlift aircraft and the intransit processing of traffic. The airfield may or may not be designated an aerial port.
