A three-dimensional block of airspace in a target area, established by the appropriate ground commander, in which friendly aircraft are reasonably safe from friendly surface fires. The traditional airspace coordination area (ACA) didn't apply
because some aircraft in the area were just traveling though and had
nothing to do with the operations. Aviation
ROZs become airspace coordination areas (ACAs) established at the same
locations and altitudes as the ROZs.
Planned procedures must include, but are not limited to control and
coordinating measures, fire support coordinating line (FSCL) procedures
and associated attack options, airspace coordination area (ACA) options,
and weapon systems procedures. |
