(Headquarter: Uppsala, Sweden, CEO: Par Gellerfors) announced today that on August 24, they signed a strategic alliance agreement to develop an immunotherapy for Alzheimer's disease.
By then, she truly understood why Alzheimer's disease, the leading cause of dementia in the elderly, is often called the "Long Goodbye.
"Unless a prevention or cure is found soon, Alzheimer's disease will overwhelm our already stretched health care system and bankrupt Medicare and Medicaid," said Sheldon Goldberg, president and CEO of the Alzheimer's Association.
