then resuspended in 1 mL [alpha]-MEM, after lysing erythrocytes with
cold ammonium chloride. Some agencies, notably those
in Florida, have committed to full-scale replacement programs, and have
mandated the use of less toxic preservatives and wood-treating
insecticides such as ACQ (a wood preservative that contains a mixture of
copper and didecyl dimethyl ammonium chloride, commonly called alkaline
copper quat, of just "quat"). |
