Byline: SH (P) BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Three new national banks have joined the project to provide the Automated Teller Machine (ATM) services and the credit cards, raising the number of banks participating in the project to eight, the director of Amwal company said on Friday.
The bank will issue the customers a cash card embedded with an IC chip and replace all of its automated teller machines (ATMs) with finger vein authentication terminals by the end of fiscal 2006.
ATMs - a US acronym for Automated Teller Machine - are set to be replaced with "hole in the wall".
