Banana prawn samples were collected from two provinces of Thailand (Ampur LamSing, Chantaburi, and Ban Huanumkao, Trat) by gill net.
Belize Aquaculture used a white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) not found in Australia, but our banana prawn (Penaeus merguiensis) may prove suitable.
Other products available from Frigorificos Delfin include rock lobsters, lobster tails, boiled barnacles, peeled prawns, cooked swimming crabs, scampi, boiled crayfish, Mediterranean prawns, IQF head-on banana prawns, fillets of swordfish, sole and plaice, salmon and pollock steaks and loins, cod loins and pieces, squid tubes, cuttlefish and more -- plus a broad range of battered, breaded and other prepared items.
