Beating swords into plowshares and making war no more is not a strategy but utopian faith.
Whenever I make Eunice Antosik's Special Carrot Cake or Mildred Grabinski's Spicy Spanish Roast, I understand anew that biblical passage about beating swords into plowshares.
Instead of beating swords into plowshares, as the oft-quoted but ever-ignored Isaiah urged, the message now--with at least $20 billion instantly added to the war chest--is beat swords into bigger swords.
