Railways installed centralized traffic control and auto block systems in 1970 and 1993 on main line from Karachi to Kotri but most of the existing systems are very old and obsolete, an official of Pakistan Railways said.
The standards include test methods, material specifications, practices, and guides and relate to manufactured materials such as mulches and tackifiers, biodegradable blankets, turf reinforcement mats, sediment retention and filtration devices, gabions, grout-filled mats, geotextiles, and articulating concrete block systems, as well as natural materials including soil, rock riprap, and willows and grasses.
Only 8 mm wide, the 1180 fits Phoenix Contact, WACO, Entrelac and other block systems without consuming valuable space.
