A very large whalebone whale (Balaenoptera musculus) having a bluish-gray back, yellow underparts, and several ventral throat grooves. It is considered the largest living animal, sometimes reaching a length of 30.5 meters (100 feet). Also called sulphur-bottom.

The first Was nicknamed the Blue Whale and opened in 1975; the Pacific Green Building followed it in 1988.
A gibbon swings through the jungle but also walks on two legs; a jacana walks on lily pads but also dives in the water; a blue whale dives before it swims.
The latest treasure to bite the dust--or to be more accurate, shatter on the tile--was my Nantucket mug, the one with the blue whale on it.
