The findings come as counties begin calculating the total unfunded liabilities of providing health care to retirees under a Government Accounting Standards Board rule going into effect next year. The AICPA's governing Council approved the recommendation of the Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board Rule 203 Panel authorizing FASAB to continue to set generally accepted accounting principles for the federal government under Rule 203 of the AICPA Code of Conduct. In such instances the state board rule supersedes the AICPA rules. |
