One of these, the Carrabelle Boat Club, a state-of-the-art enclosed dry-stack storage facility with space for 284 boats, offers a first class clubhouse that rivals that of any yacht club, as well as a caterer's bar, restrooms and showers. Prominent examples of these are the 24-man golf teams at the city's three 18-hole golf courses, Club Championships for both the men and women at the city's three 18-hole golf courses, the Minnesota Boat Club rowing regatta, and annual cross-country ski races. The company is also concentrating on improvements in public facilities, such as the extension of the Waterfront Walkway from the Middlesex County Waterfront Park, the construction of five tennis courts for public and private usage and the rehabilitation of the South Amboy Boat Club, a 32-slip marina which originally began operation in the early 1950s. |
