GLENDALE - More than 460 athletes gathered Saturday to compete in everything from tennis to boccie ball at the Tri-Valley Special Olympics competition at Glendale High School. The dynamic power of flying boccie balls, burning palm branches, or even a water sprinkler contained a potential energy that could be made visible only through photography. The public is invited to participate in as many of the eight tournaments that will be held, including home-run hitting, football passing and punting, volleyball, table tennis, boccie ball, a three-legged race and basketball and golf competition. |
