Bull snakes do not mate with rattle snakes but will in fact drive them away.
Beste Santa Fe Year of the snake This year there seems to be a bumper crop of bull snakes, rat snakes, smooth green snakes, rattlesnakes (Western Diamondbacks and Prairie Rattlers up here in the north), garter snakes, red racers, coachwhips.
