| Zoo officials said capuchin monkeys rarely live beyond 15 to 25 years in the wild. Among wild capuchin monkeys, the highest-status father often retains his position in a group long enough for his daughters to reach sexual maturity, yet inbreeding is rare, a new study finds. Researchers at Emory University in Atlanta reported in September that capuchin monkeys, which are found in South America, display at least some sense of fairness, a key criterion for judging right from wrong. |
