2. To cut a groove in; flute.

[Probably back-formation from chamfering, from French chanfrein, bevelled edge, from past participle of Old French chanfreindre, to bevel : chant, edge (from Latin canthus, iron tire; see cant1) + fraindre, to break (from Latin frangere; see bhreg- in Indo-European roots).]

Builds off-line cutting and chamfering machines for pipe (32 to 630 mm diam.
The Nomacorcs themselves will still be manufactured in Zebulon, NC, and they will be sent to Thimister-Clermont for any finish work needed including printing and chamfering.
Rollepaal will introduce a new series of cutting and chamfering machines with automatic settings for pipe diameter and wall thickness.
