Tindle served as the director of hematopathology from 1977 to 2002 and as the director of clinical pathology from 1996 to 2004 at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Vermont.
He served on several committees and board of the American Society for Clinical Pathology; presented ASCP workshops for more than 30 years; and was awarded the Society's Distinguished Service Award Commission on Continuing Education, and the Ward Burdick Award for Distinguished Service to Clinical Pathology.
Des Leadon, head of clinical pathology at the Irish Equine Centre, and Kildangan Stud's Joe Osborne were among those at the launch of a policy document prepared to give guidance to owners on care and options available to help prevent horses from becoming unwanted or neglected.
