The City Council will meet in closed session tonight to decide whether to appeal Judge Dzintra Janavs' ruling dismissing the city's lawsuit, one of four brought by the city against Antelope Valley Hospital. Although the bishops went into closed session for discussion of their statement, Archbishop Andrew Hutchison noted after the statement was released that "what we began at the last meeting remains among us. Pat Bottrill Chair of the Royal College of Nursing, UK, (RCN UK) governing council resigned on 13 August after committee members, drawing up new diversity guidelines, took exception to an 'inappropriate and offensive' remark at a closed session of the council in July. |
