Friday's maneuvers in southern Kazakhstan were the first large-scale exercise of the seven-nation Collective Security Treaty Organization military bloc.
The final stage of military exercises of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Collective Rapid Response Forces started at the military training ground Mantybulak in southern Kazakhstan.
However it is also seeking a second base in the southern city of Osh that would house the newly proposed rapid reaction force of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO), an ex-Soviet group dominated by Moscow.
