Ferrie also uses black-light traps, which capture anything that flies at night, including corn borer moths, cutworm moths, June bugs and adult wireworm beetles.
You also have to consider that late-planted corn is more attractive to European corn borer moths, so you might want to consider a Bt hybrid.
The first generation of European corn borer moths is one pest that's evident from "windshield" scouting.
