The departure Monday was the first of 22 through April 9 for the Grand Princess on round trips with calls at Costa Maya, Mexico; Grand Cayman, Cozumel and Belize - a new port for Princess. Hamui, a civil engineer behind hospitals and other public works projects for the Mexican government, earlier had constructed a Cozumel pier that he sold to cruise giant Carnival Corporation. Given that the market for condos is very strong in Cozumel and that region is experiencing rapid growth in population and tourism, we felt it was a sound investment. |
