| I often wonder what our parkways would look like in winter if the crape myrtles planted there possessed colorful bark. In addition to supporting the replanting of live oak throughout the park, Katrina ReLeaf will restore an avenue of crape myrtles and reestablish Couturie Forest Arboretum, the largest forested area in the park. These include beech, birch, coral tree, gingko, liquidambar, magnolia, maidenhair, Japanese and other maples, crape myrtles and persimmon. |
