Axial CT showed that the crista galli was along the same coronal plane as the wire and, again, the wire appeared to come very close to the skull base (figure 3, B).
It can also demonstrate a fluid-filled cyst, soft-tissue mass, distortion of the crista galli, and enlargement of the foramen cecum.
The artery then enters the anterior cranial fossa, gives off meningeal branches, and turns downward into the nasal cavity through the slit-like apertures at the side of the crista galli.
