Culture vultures are swooping to the South East for the event which includes three operas and a host of other recitals over 11 days.
Any advertising material, brochures, postcards and the like featuring the statue and aimed at the influx of visitors and tourists expected for any successful City of Culture bid will, at least, let the invading culture vultures know they can still get two packs for the price of one when stocking up on their beer.
The 10-day event, which is organised by the Culture Vultures Bahrain, will showcase artists' work and allow guests to see their studios.
