1. A large composite picture placed on the interior walls of a cylindrical room so as to appear in natural perspective to a spectator standing in the center of the room.
2. A large curtain or wall, usually concave, hung or placed at the rear of a stage.

THE EUR12 million restoration of North America's largest Cyclorama will be unveiled at Gettysburg Museum and Visitors Centre on Friday.
At Edinburgh College of Art is Sanford Wurmfeld 's oval cyclorama, a vast surround-sound painting made up of fractional variations in the spectrum.
She updated the scene to the 20th century, and designer Glenn Davidson, aided by Bonnie Beecher's lighting, gave her a minimal set that allowed shadowy profiles at the rear cyclorama so the audience could see comings and goings invisible to the characters on stage.
