The journalists, Pap Saine, editor of the daily The Point newspaper, Sam Sarr, editor of the opposition Foroyaa newspaper, Ebrima Sawaneh, news editor of The Point, Pa Modou Faal of The Point, Emil Touray of Foroyaa, Sarata Jabbi Dibba of the Point, and Abubacarr Saidykhan of Foroyaa were granted bail in the sum of 200,000 Dalasis (5,418 euros, 7,547 dollars).
David and Fiona Fulton who were arrested in Banjul on November 29 were also fined 250,000 Dalasis (9,325 dollars, 6,750 euros), after pleading guilty to charges of sedition or inciting resistance to lawful authority.
He also ordered him to pay about 90 million dalasis within six months or his personal assets would be forfeited to the state.
