Typically, the concern is for dental caries to progress to the point of infecting the tooth nerve and later turning into a dental abscess that the body cannot appropriately manage.
Oral surgical consultation was obtained and evidence for a dental abscess was uncovered.
Children shouldn't have to be embarrassed to smile or suffer the debilitating pain of chronic toothache and dental abscess.
