A few years ago estate cars had been all but consigned to retirement, having been deposed by a tidal wave of off-roaders and people carriers.
Depending on the size of your family, most estate cars will seat up to 5 passengers comfortably, allowing for 3 or 4 cases in the rear, plus they have the added bonus of being able to fit in items such as baby buggies, golf clubs and surf boards.
The number of estate cars continues to grow and one of the latest is the Hyundai i30 estate, which builds on the good looks of the i30 hatchback.
