The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in Great Britain has called for a discussion of euthanizing very ill newborns, the BBC reports.
``I think the department has come a long way and we are euthanizing 46 percent fewer animals than when I came on,'' Stuckey said.
In addition, people responsible for euthanizing animals should be trained in human safety, and animal welfare and restraint.
