The first is Ozothamnus diosmifolius `Pink,' another 4- to 6-foot shrub, which shows pink and white flower clusters throughout the year. The northern catalpa's seedpods remain attached to the tree all winter, until the flower clusters bloom in May and June. This year's abundance of grapes, which Hudson predicts will produce some outstanding wines, was determined back in June of 1996, when flower cluster primordial development occurred under perfect soil conditions. |
