Maureen Rens, 56, a food service worker at Canyon High in the Los Angeles County community of Santa Clarita, died Sunday after suffering from flu-like symptoms for close to a week. The data reports statistics on patients presenting to 49 CEP Emergency Department practice locations with flu-like illnesses and/or complications and hospital admissions on a weekly, monthly, and seasonal basis. Jones added that the hospital is already seeing several patients each day who request anthrax tests, either because they have flu-like symptoms or simply want to be screened for the bacteria. |
