Officials and experts say some Texas city councils have decided to stop fluoridating
water supplies because they see it as a needless expense.
I dont want the infrastructure costs associated with fluoridating
water to be a barrier for councils when considering its introduction, Ms Palaszczuk said.
These health groups argue that although there is a financial cost of fluoridating
water supplies, it is outweighed 7:1 by the public health costs associated with dental caries and subsequent chronic health issues.
