And Malaysia has gradually plugged back into the global grid. IDG World Expo (Framingham, MA) and the Global Grid Forum (Lemont, IL), an association of users, developers and vendors involved in global standardization efforts for grid computing, will launch GridWorld, a B2B conference focused on the commercial benefits of grid computing for enterprise IT professionals and IT vendors. While the Globus Consortium is not a standards body, it does intend to work in tandem with existing Grid standards bodies--such as the Global Grid Forum (GGF)--to further drive implementation of standards that best support enterprise Grid implementations. |
