great white shark
n.
A large shark (Carcharodon carcharias) of temperate and tropical waters that grows to about 7 meters (23 feet). It is the only shark known to feed regularly on marine mammals.

Last spring, white making a documentary on great whites, he used the sub to cruise among sharks off the coast of Mexico.
By the way, if the sharks are supposed to be great whites (had to get that ``Jaws'' reference in), why are they all black on top and white on the bottom instead of light gray?
