| After a shaky start, the Los Angeles Unified School District has connected more than 400 schools to the Internet and plans to hard-wire every campus by 2003, district officials said Thursday. Such wireless technologies allow for connection to a remote analog telephone line as long as the user is within approximately 100 feet of the hard-wire connection. In addition, Drive + Play II includes a hard-wire harness for those looking to conceal the hub and cables. |
