When the late gay artist Keith Haring painted a mural for the South of Market Child Care Center in San Francisco in 1985, his only instruction was that the mural should benefit the children of South of Market. Haring often used action lines to animate his figures. Organic functionalist Hugo Haring (1882-1958) remains a mysterious figure among Berlin architects of the '20s and '30s. |
