Author, teacher and physician Hua-Ching Ni presents much more than a manual for how to use the hexagrams of I Ching; The Book of Changes and The Unchanging Truth teaches the reader about the fundamental principles of the system. In the September issue, the photo credits in the captions for Richard Serra's To Lift, 1967, and To Encircle Base Plate Hexagram, Right Angles Inverted, 1970 [both images page 274], were mistakenly switched. Each of the I Ching's sixty-four hexagrams is interpreted by Sloane from years of study of over fifty translations, and synthesized into comments pertaining to writer's struggles with words. |
