[FIGURE 1 OMITTED] Histiocytic necrotizing lymphadenitis--also known as Kikuchi-Fujimoto disease (KFD)--is a rare disease of unknown etiology.
The stromal 1 signature reflected extracellular-matrix deposition and histiocytic infiltration.
Histopathology showed the cyst wall had a basophilic lamella, scoleces, areas of fibrosis, necrosis, and a reactive pericystic structure with histiocytic cells and degeneration of the adjacent muscle fibres.
