Is it not an arrogant act of hutzpah, nerve, or hubris to attempt such blessing?
That was hutzpah enough, so to speak, adding to the Bible, but other Jewish denominations of the period, notably the Qumran community, apparently viewed some of their own literature with the same respect as some of the Writings.
