A 220-ton hydromechanical, two-platen model has been added to the CX line of presses from Krauss-Maffei Corp.
HPM debuted the 900-ton model, which uses a hydromechanical two-platen clamp design rather than a traditional four- and five-point, three-clamp toggle design.
The hydromechanical design reduces service needs by eliminating drive belts and providing efficient power transfer.
