1. Deficient or diminished production of pituitary hormones.
2. The condition resulting from a deficiency in pituitary hormone, especially growth hormone, characterized by dwarfism in children and sometimes by decreased activity of the thyroid, adrenal, or gonadal glands.

Xerostomia is the most common; others include pituitary dysfunction, temporal bone necrosis, dysphagia, cranial nerve palsy, heating loss, carotid artery stenosis, hypothyroidism, dry eye syndrome, myelitis, encephalopathy, hypopituitarism, and severe trismus, to name a few.
PUUV infection may also lead to neurologic symptoms including meningoencephalitis, polyradiculitis, seizures, cerebral hemorrhage, urinary bladder paralysis, and hypopituitarism (6,7).
This gives her a diagnostic reference of normality when disorders develop such as certain ovarian cysts, vaginal infections, cancer of the cervix and of the body of the uterus, and less common conditions such as hypopituitarism, hyper-prolactaeima and so on.
