The '0-5 Program', a public health program that includes weighing, measuring, assessing and immunising children in that age group, has been a cornerstone of community health and primary health care nursing since maternal and child health nurses were referred to as infant welfare nurses. We are pleased to be working with IDV to develop an effective TB vaccine and we believe that the approach of using extracellular proteins as the immunising agent offers the best opportunity for developing a safe and effective subunit vaccine against tuberculosis. |
