DI again participated in various interdepartmental intelligence, CI and collection-related projects coordinated by NICOC.
Closer to home I would also like to welcome from the SAPS, Dr Chris de Kock, involved in crime research as Head of the Crime Information Management Centre, as well as Assistant Commissioner Govender, the Head of Interdepartmental Intelligence, SAPS.
This structure enables Government to receive interdepartmental intelligence pertaining to inter alia organised crime and facilitates strategic decision-making in this regard.
