A survey of deep waters in western Lake Superior reveals the tracks left when massive icebergs scraped the lakebed during the last ice age. That indicates aquatic creatures once lived in the area when it was a swamp or lakebed. The initial property, which includes the former Lake Conestee lakebed, the existing open water and the Conestee dam, was purchased using funds from a settlement from a local pipeline spill. |
