An otolaryngologic examination detected nothing specific, but an ophthalmologic examination revealed mild palsy of the right lateral rectus muscle.
The patient presented with a complete loss of vision in one eye and lateral rectus muscle palsy, but no nasal symptoms.
Initial complaints are usually related to vision and can be attributed to the lesion's lateral extension and subsequent involvement of the VIth cranial nerve, which can lead to palsy of the lateral rectus muscle.
