The springs used in the suspension types are comprised of air springs, torsion bars, coil springs and leaf springs.
Leaf springs have done a good support job for decades, but at the expense of a comfortable ride.
It was built on a massive cruciform-braced, box-section chassis equipped with coil-sprung independent front suspension with a well located 'live' rear axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs.
