Cassoulet and braised short ribs are prepared in a stone oven, and there is a nightly rotisserie special -- it might be rabbit on Tuesday, leg of lamb on Wednesday, wild boar on Friday. Named after Clinton, who had eaten there, our entree was a savory feast of leg of lamb, chicken tandoori, dal, and nan. Dinner tastes as wonderful as it smells--the most tender leg of lamb I've ever eaten, along with roast potatoes, carrots and parsnips, salad, creamed leeks and a tartly lemon cheesecake. |
