Other mini-ramp news: Flip's David Gonzalez returned with lensman Ewan Bowman to film a killer part on the harsh 'crete of his native Bogota, Colombia. When Jamel Shabazz, a Brooklyn native and budding lensman, roamed the streets of New York in the early 1980s to photograph some of the street-savvy, fresh-faced teens whose colorful style and swagger intrigued him, he wasn't just preserving history; he was capturing a brief period of relative calm in the midst of a terrifying storm. A shoot for Baker led to one for well-known lensman Tom Bianchi, and soon Dinihanian's marketing skills kicked in. |
