Chocolate lily (Fritillaria biflora) and leopard lily (Lilium pardalinum) will enhance any bulb garden, and their flowers make fine specimens for vase arrangements.
What a wonderful wait it is, each year, for the appearance of flowers such as the marine blue clusters of the ``Dark Star'' ceanothus, the pink and white urns of the manzanita, or the orange-red trumpets of the leopard lily.
In the California section, it was a pleasure to see the leopard lily (Lilium pardalinum) described.
