Firstly, it is necessary to review the maximum terms of military service established for commissioned officer personnel so as to prevent the involuntary discharge of experienced and physically fit majors and lieutenant colonels (captains 2nd and 3rd rank) at age 45; colonels (captains 1st rank) at age 50; major generals and lieutenant generals (rear admirals and vice admirals) at age 55.
Out of the total number of senior officers, Brigadier Generals (Rear Admirals Junior Grade) should account for 50 percent; Major Generals (Rear Admirals), for 35 percent; Lieutenant Generals (Vice Admirals) and Generals (Admirals), for 15 percent.
