Native sulphur excavation in the surroundings of Krakow, in Swoszowice, also has a long history, dating back to the 15th century.
Within the altered breccia complex mineralization consists of minor disseminated pyrite, native sulphur, and locally traces of cinnabar, realgar and orpiment.
Gold mineralization is associated with disseminated pyrite, native sulphur and limonite in a hydrothermally altered Tertiary volcanic/sediment sequence characterized by vuggy (residual) silica, argillization and alunite.
